Job Purpose

Provide solutions to “maximize the value of data” in the life sciences and maximize customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

Depending on the applicant’s aptitudes and interests, you may be assigned tasks such as:

• Developing an experimental parameter optimization engine using Bayesian optimization (and improving the algorithms)
• Developing bioimage analysis software (e.g., microscopic images of cells)
• Conducting technical research and exploring possible solutions (including literature reviews)
• Implementing and executing solutions, including data analysis in actual projects

Desired Qualifications

• Someone who can proactively take the initiative and actively carry out tasks
• Strong curiosity about cutting-edge technology and research, with a commitment to continuously keep up with the latest information
• Ability to envision potential events and risks, and to imagine the intentions behind others’ thoughts and actions

Compensation

Hourly wage starting at 1,500 yen (with pay increases based on performance)

Working Conditions

• Flexible schedule; from 8 hours per week (negotiable)
• Side jobs and concurrent employment allowed. Concurrent internships with other companies are also permitted. We encourage skill development.

Application Requirements

• Experience in development using Python
• Basic knowledge of computer science
• Basic knowledge of statistics and machine learning
• Basic knowledge of cell biology (preferred)
