Software Engineer (Solutions & Integration) Internship

Role & Purpose
Build the right applications to solve our external partners’ problems, and help them turn that into real results.
Responsibilities
With support from our engineers, you will take on work such as:
- Building applications that embed our in-house experiment-parameter optimization engine
- Developing image analysis software (e.g., microscopy images of cells)
- Building telemetry systems that collect, aggregate, and visualize data from instruments
- Developing software to create and edit 3D design data

Compensation
- Starting at JPY 1,500/hour (with raises based on performance)
Working Conditions
- Flexible schedule. From 8 hours/week (negotiable)
- Side jobs and concurrent internships at other companies are welcome. We encourage skill development.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate in a computer science–related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Practical or comparable software development experience (preferred)
- Development experience in any of Python, C++, or TypeScript (a plus)
