About the Event
The Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine is one of Japan’s largest academic gatherings in the field of regenerative medicine, bringing together researchers, medical professionals, and industry representatives to discuss topics spanning basic research, clinical application, and commercialization. The 25th edition was held at the Kobe International Conference Center and Kobe International Exhibition Hall. On March 21, the co-hosted “1st ISCT-JSRM Joint Symposium on Clinical iPS Cells,” organized jointly with the International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy (ISCT), was held at the same venue, featuring international discussions on clinical-stage iPS cell applications.
Booth Highlights
Our booth featured poster presentations on the following two themes:
Epistra Accelerate — A platform that combines mathematical optimization and AI to accelerate condition search in cell manufacturing processes. It significantly improves efficiency compared to conventional trial-and-error approaches in culture condition optimization and scale-up design.
AI Custom Media Development Service — A service that applies mathematical optimization and AI to custom-design media compositions for cell proliferation and differentiation. By simultaneously optimizing multiple parameters, it enables faster media development than traditional approaches. The service is delivered in collaboration with the Shimadzu Group, supporting everything from lab-scale condition exploration to manufacturing-scale production and supply.
Visitor Response
The booth attracted visitors from a wide range of sectors across the regenerative medicine supply chain, including cell culture equipment manufacturers, analytical instrument manufacturers, CDMOs, pharmaceutical companies, and research institutions. Numerous substantive discussions took place on topics such as adding value by integrating AI into instruments and optimizing manufacturing processes.
